    Ihave been to many a garden fete as a child. when the hospital had a working farm (pigs/dairy) i used to watch the farm workers and patients with horse drawn wagons fetching the hay in. The patients loved working outside on the farm and missed it very much when the farm closed.The patients then went to work in viners cutlery works putting handles onto knives which they disliked.
