Yes, I remember this as well, although it's so long ago that I was coming to think that it was my memory playing tricks! I do remember my Dad taking me there when I was a lad and I have a vague memory of the Vulcan as well. Thanks for confirming that I'm not losing it after all!

Some time ago in the late 50s to early 60s there was an air show here which I attended as a young boy. One memory that stands out was when a Vulcan did a low level flypast for the show. The only aicraft I remember taking off, doing a display & landing was some spitfires.

There was no Fire that damaged Nelson Mandela building in either 2003 or 2005, The Students union moved out of the Building in 2004. The building was demolished around 2005/2005
